Another true quote. Once you fall in love you get a mountain load of worry. Worry for them and worry for the ominous "US" or "WE". right now, it's my worry for him that drives me to write (or Type) to avoid panic. See, the worst thing about people is that they want to try to Stiff through an issue or injury just to prove they can.
If you really knew me you would know that a few years ago my mother almost died because she tried to "stiff upper lip" an injury. She was cleaning a place when the concrete stairs she was using crumbled beneath her feet and caused her to swan dive off to avoid breaking her leg. Instead, she went headfirst into the pavement causeing her spine to fold like an accordion. Instead of going to the hospital to get it looked at, she decided to stay home and stiff it out on the couch. little did she know that the injury caused her Cancer to flare up and a month later, she had a tumor rapped around her spine that was slowly paralyzing her. When I woke up that morning she was only a few hours from death and it was because I called the doctor that she's still alive today.
Today, it is My Boyfriend Isaac who is stiffing out a potentially dangerous injury. Isaac works for a tower construction company and just recently he was helping a guy at work hold some supplies in place so they drill them. unfortunately, his co-worker lost concentration and the drill slipped off the metals they were working with and went straight into Isaac's hand. And once again I have to try to convince someone I care for to go to the hospital. Isaac is bleeding profusely and has been drifting in and out of consciousness for hours. He's so far refused to go to the emergency room deciding to hold out for a while. I'm trying my best to get him to agree to see a doctor tonight but so far the only thing I'm getting from him is "I'll go tomorrow if it gets any worse". My fear is that if it gets much worse I could lose him forever.
